In the aftermath of his lackluster performance on Monday Night Football against Seattle, Giants quarterback Daniel Jones discovered an unexpected source of support from an unlikely NFC East adversary.
Jones had a rough outing, tossing two interceptions, including one that Seahawks’ D.J. Reed returned for an astonishing 97-yard touchdown.
Throughout the game, he faced relentless pressure, primarily due to the abysmal performance of New York’s offensive line.
The Giants’ decision to extend their fifth-year quarterback with a hefty $160 million deal instead of securing star running back Saquon Barkley to a long-term contract has been met with severe criticism.
Surprisingly, on the following Tuesday, star defensive end for the Cowboys, Micah Parsons, emerged as Jones’ defender on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Very easy to say it’s Daniel jones….. https://t.co/ZZGZPbxmSL

Instead of pointing fingers at Jones, Parsons seemed to place the blame squarely on the porous offensive line that allowed Seattle defenders to sack Jones a staggering 10 times.
In response to a video clip that depicted Seahawks’ defensive players easily breaching the Giants’ offensive line, Parsons offered a succinct rebuttal, stating, “Very easy to say it’s Daniel Jones…”
Parsons speaks from firsthand experience, having led the charge for the Dallas defense that sacked Jones seven times during the Cowboys’ dominant 40–0 victory over the Giants in Week 1.
While one of the NFL’s premier pass-rushers defended Jones on Tuesday, it’s worth noting that he will undoubtedly be on the hunt for him once again when these bitter rivals clash for a second time this season in Week 10 at AT&T Stadium.
