Jerry Jones Throws Support Behind Dak Prescott for MVP: “The Best I’ve Ever Seen

As MVP candidate buzz intensifies around Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, team owner Jerry Jones enthusiastically joins the conversation, expressing strong support for Prescott’s candidacy.

In his weekly appearance on 105.3 The Fan with “Shan & RJ” on Tuesday, Jones left no room for doubt about Prescott’s place in the MVP conversation. “I certainly do [think he belongs in the conversation],” Jones affirmed. “He’s put games together that are the best of his career, in my view. And the best right at the top of many that I’ve seen. It’s the fact he’s doing them back-to-back and, of course, his play, and how he’s impacting those games.”

Over the past four matchups, Prescott has showcased exceptional performance, amassing 1,354 yards, 12 touchdowns, and a mere two interceptions. This stellar performance has contributed to the Cowboys securing a 3-1 record during this period.

Prescott’s passing completion rate of 70.7 percent places him at the top among all NFL quarterbacks, and he is tied with four others for the third-highest number of touchdowns in the league at 17.

While acknowledging Prescott’s impressive athletic prowess on the field, Jones emphasizes that what truly sets him apart is his work ethic and mentality leading into each game. “I don’t want to say he’s making it look easy… But, boy, is he really in a position not only physical, but it’s mental,” Jones remarked. “He’s really showed us all hard work, all the time he’s put in and, frankly, the adjustments that have been made the past year. We’re really seeing the fruits of that. If you put the work in and you take it to the practice field and you take it to the game, then it pays off. He is the best I’ve ever seen from taking it in the classroom to the field, and we’re seeing the fruits of that.”

Jones’s unequivocal praise positions Prescott as a leading contender for the MVP title, reflecting the quarterback’s exceptional contributions to the Cowboys’ success this season.
