CeeDee Lamb’s Historic Streak: Setting a New Standard for NFL Receivers

In a remarkable display of skill and dominance, Dallas Cowboys receiver CeeDee Lamb etched his name in the NFL record books by becoming the first player ever to achieve double-digit catches for at least 150 receiving yards in three consecutive games. Lamb’s latest performance saw him secure 11 receptions for 173 yards and a touchdown, following impressive outings of 11 receptions for 191 yards against the Eagles and 12 catches for 158 yards and two touchdowns against the Rams in the preceding weeks.

When questioned about being in a zone, Lamb confidently asserted, “Absolutely, and it’s not stopping.”

With a season total of 68 receptions for 997 yards and four receiving touchdowns, Lamb has notched four consecutive 100-yard games, joining the ranks of Cowboys legends Michael Irvin and Terrell Owens as the only players in team history to achieve this feat.

Lamb’s recent surge is even more impressive considering his modest start to the season, where he made only 27 receptions for 358 yards and one touchdown in the first five games. Publicly expressing a desire for more opportunities, Lamb’s plea has been answered, and he has thrived, accumulating 41 receptions for 639 yards and three touchdowns in the past four games.

Addressing the defensive strategies against him, Lamb acknowledged the attempts to double-cover him but credited Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy for strategic moves that keep him versatile and challenging for opposing defenses.

As the Cowboys prepare to face the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, Lamb’s historic streak positions him as a force to be reckoned with, solidifying his claim as the top receiver in the game. With unwavering confidence, Lamb declared, “I’m the top receiver in this game, and there’s no question about it. If there is, I’ll see you all again next week.”
