Key Figures from AMPAS, BAFTA, See-Saw Films, and Disney Animation Exec Jennifer Lee to Headline London Film Festival Industry Talks

The largest film event in the UK has unveiled a diverse lineup of conversations and panel discussions for its 2023 edition.

The 2023 BFI London Film Festival has introduced its industry program, featuring a diverse range of discussions and panel talks with prominent individuals from the global film and television industries.

Notable participants in the LFF Spotlight conversations include Jennifer Lee, Chief Creative Officer of Walt Disney Animation Studios and co-director of the Frozen films, Emile Sherman, Iain Canning, and Helen Gregory of See-Saw Films, known for projects like The Power of the Dog, as well as TV series like Heartstopper and Slow Horses, and Carole Barton, who serves as the head of French sales company Charades.

In addition, both AMPAS (Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences) head Bill Kramer and BAFTA head Jane Millichip will engage in conversations with BFI CEO Ben Roberts.

Panel discussions will feature writers, directors, and creative talents such as Giancarlo Nasi, Emily Morgan, Mahalia Belo, Shaheen Baig, Leah Clarke, Naqqash Khalid, Nabhaan Rizwan, Mary Burke, and Tasha Back.

The Hollywood Reporter is sponsoring a panel titled “Fade In: Emerging Writers in Conversation,” which will showcase writers from across the UK, including Emily Burnett, Lisa Clarkson, Karim Khan, Caleb J. Roberts, Sufiyaan Salam, Rashida Seriki, Charlie Tidmas, and Temi Wilkey.

Festival director Kristy Matheson expressed excitement about hosting European, international, and UK talents at this year’s Industry Forum, emphasizing the importance of sharing expertise, experiences, and ideas in a rapidly evolving landscape.

The festival will take place from October 4 to 15, commencing with the European premiere of Emerald Fennell’s Saltburn.
