Actor Billy Miller passed away on Friday, September 15, 2023, after bravely battling bipolar depression throughout his life.
Miller, who graduated with a bachelor’s degree in radio-television film from the University of Texas at Austin in 2002, went on to establish himself as a beloved actor in daytime television with notable roles in The Young and The Restless, General Hospital, and All My Children.
His talent extended beyond the soap opera realm, making appearances in popular series like Castle, Ray Donovan, and Suits.
In honor of Miller’s memory, his family, loved ones, and friends have created The William John Miller II “Billy Miller” Memorial Scholarship.
This endowment aims to support students pursuing studies in radio-television-film at the University of Texas at Austin.
Megan Hubbell, Miller’s sister, expressed the family’s sentiments about the scholarship fund, stating, “We want something positive to endure in his name perpetually through the University he cherished.
He would be honored to know that even in death, he can contribute to helping someone else realize their dreams.” Those interested in contributing to this meaningful cause can make donations here.
As we remember Billy Miller, may he rest in peace.
