Packers Legend Donald Driver Expresses Confidence in Jordan Love

Jordan Love’s first season as the Green Bay Packers’ starting quarterback has been marked by struggles, but Packers legend Donald Driver is optimistic about Love’s future.

During an interview with Fox News Digital, Driver emphasized that Love and the youthful Packers team have room to grow and improve.

“Jordan Love is starting over. That’s fresh,” said Driver. “All those guys are young. There’s no veteran guy in that locker room to lead that charge, and Jordan is young as well. This is a young team, but a team that can grow.”

Driver’s perspective is grounded in the reality of a team in transition. With Aaron Rodgers no longer with the team, it’s only natural for the Packers to experience some growing pains. Love, at just 24 years old, is still early in his NFL career, and many of the Packers’ key players are also quite young.

Love began the season on a promising note, throwing seven touchdowns and just one interception in his first three games, helping the Packers achieve a 2-1 record. However, Love has struggled in recent games, throwing four touchdowns and seven interceptions during a four-game losing streak.

Despite the recent challenges, Driver remains steadfast in his belief in Love’s potential.

“I think Jordan Love is the future,” he declared. “It’s going to take some time for him to get his feet behind him, and I think at the end of the day, he’s going to be good.”

Driver, who spent his entire 14-year NFL career (1999-2012) with the Packers, has a deep understanding of what it takes to be a successful quarterback in the league. He played alongside both Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers, making three Pro Bowl appearances and having seven 1,000-yard seasons. Additionally, he won a Super Bowl with Rodgers leading the way during the 2010-11 season.

The Packers currently hold a 2-5 record and aim to end their losing streak when they face the Los Angeles Rams.
